IVF support
Before starting your Ivf Cycle
Preparation sessions include Acupuncture, Fertility Massage, Shiatsu, Gentle Bioenergetics and are designed to help your body respond to the requirements of the recommended protocol in the best way and with the least possible stress and side effects.
Practically what happens is that with the help of the above techniques, blood flow to your reproductive organs is improved, hormonal function is balanced and this contributes to the creation of healthier eggs and endometrium.
During the stimulation
Acupuncture/fertility massage will help you maintain a relaxed state of mind and minimize possible side effects of the medications.
After Egg Collection
Acupuncture/fertility massage will help your body come at ease again and get prepared for the next phase.
Embryo Transfer Day
International studies have shown that acupuncture before and after embryo transfer, significantly increases your chances of pregnancy.
Few days after Embryo Transfer
International studies have shown that acupuncture at this stage may not only enhance the chances of implantation, but also decrease the possibility of miscarriage.
DOUBLE SESSION ON EMBRYO TRANSFER DAY
On the day of the embryo transfer, two acupuncture sessions are recommended, one before and one after the procedure.
Each session lasts about 45 minutes. Prior to embryo transfer, acupuncture points are used to help dilate the cervix, facilitating catheter insertion. Other points are used to calm your nervous system, which in turn relaxes the womb and reduces contractions. Other acupuncture points are used to improve blood circulation to the womb and create a thicker endometrium. The session is relaxing and helps optimize uterine receptivity. The session is complete, with the help of fertility massage, which will help you have a better connection with your abdomen and womb.
The post-embryo transfer session continues to focus on relaxing the nervous system and uses acupuncture points that help circulate extra blood to the the womb. This helps prevent contractions, nourishes the fetus (s) and makes a successful implant more likely. Also, for the next two days, it is recommended to use moxa to enhance the chances of implantation.
The acupuncture effect is still active for 24-48 hours after an IVF or IUI procedure and not only helps to keep your mind calm and stress levels reduced, but also to reduce the contractions in the womb that is sometimes related to these processes.
Although we encourage those interested to participate in a long-term acupuncture program to enhance fertility, this option alone is an autonomous treatment that offers a higher success rate than in cases where acupuncture assistance has not been used.
